The International qNMR Summit 2025 Bari was held on November 19–21, 2025, at Polytechnic University of Bari, Bari, Apulia, Italy. The meeting is therefore also referred to as the 7th qNMR Summit in Europe.
This conference report presents the program and abstracts of the meeting, including presentation titles, author information, and abstracts.
The qNMR Summit 2025 Bari was embedded in the “NMR Week” (November 17–21, 2025) and followed Magnethon 2025 (www.magnethon.com).
The week began with an event that merged learning and competition in the field of quantitative NMR (qNMR), designed to deepen participants’ qNMR expertise through hands-on experiments, data analysis, and discussion with leading international qNMR experts.
The second half of NMR Week was devoted to the international qNMR Summit described in this report.
The qNMR Summit 2025 was hosted by Polytechnic University of Bari and organized by a local organizing committee at POLIBA, with the support of an international scientific committee that brought together experts from academia, metrology institutes, regulatory agencies, and industry.
The event attracted more than 90 participants, including many from outside Europe. A total of twenty-eight scientific and technical presentations were delivered, and ten posters were presented.
The conference spanned three days of in-person activities that fostered scientific exchange and networking.
The program featured two keynote lectures addressing current trends in qNMR and the use of machine learning-enhanced NMR for quantitative assessment in complex mixtures, alongside oral sessions, poster presentations, sponsor highlights, and interactive sessions such as two-minute poster pitches, panel discussions, and a live Q&A session with the authors of qNMR – The Handbook.
The scientific program covered a broad range of qNMR themes, including:
- qNMR for reaction monitoring
- Automation of qNMR workflows
- Food analysis and authenticity
- Forensic applications
- Global standards, validation, and metrology
- Benchtop qNMR and related emerging approaches
- Advanced data evaluation for qNMR and mixture analysis
- Pharmaceutical innovation and regulatory challenges
- Experimental and unconventional qNMR methodologies
